We spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Circle G Arena at the Dayton Dog Training Club's January 2012 agility trial. I entered Revel on Friday and Saturday--his second trial ever! Emma was entered all three days, although I only have two of her runs recorded. We ran extremely well on Friday and Saturday! Sunday's standard run wasn't built for speed, and I was perhaps a little too cautious, but we got around clean and placed 10th in a large class. By the time JWW rolled around, Emma had lost her mojo, and was very slow and sticky. It's mentally quite a downer to run her when she's like this, and I wasn't patient enough on a RC and started lateral motion too soon. Darn!
Revel was a pleasure to run. He is starting to figure out what the game is about. I was thrilled beyond belief to see him get on the DW and teeter and stay on--this has been an issue in practice with him. He was amped up at the trial and really quite funny. He actually weaves very well, but not in a trial setting...yet!
Thanks goes to Misty, Ross and Deb for videotaping these runs.
