At least Revel's jumping and weaves are lovely. Right now, his A-frame is on hold until I can get some help, and he hasn't figured out how to differentiate the DW from the teeter. He was very tenative on the DW today in a new place, at first hitting it with 2 feet and then bailing on the up ramp. He did that twice. He finally got on properly, and stopped several times because he thought the board should be moving underneath him. Poor guy. Neither of my previous dogs had this issue. They always knew which was which, even in the early stages of training.

Strummer had that same problem so I started out with a lot of different cues for each. For the teeter I decelerated almost to a stop while giving a verbal 'easy' cue then a verbal 'teeter' cue. For the dogwalk I give his verbal 'walk' cue and accelerate. Now I vary the deceleration for the teeter depending on how fast he's going, the approach etc. If he's blasting out of tunnel the verbal alone isn't always enough but if we're coming off a turn where he can see the teeter he doesn't need such a heavy deceleration cue.
I just found your comment today...I'm not being notified when they come in! Glad I still have a few readers and thanks for sharing your experience. Revel seems to be doing better and I have started using "teeter" and "dogwalk" because his performance is now good enough to name those obstacles. I think that is helping. I'll play around with accel/decel as well.
